Integrating with ForceDecks

Print Friendly and PDF

Overview

ForceDecks is a dual force platform solution specifically designed for use in an elite sports environment. ForceDecks enables S&C coaches, sports medicine professionals and sports scientists to test their athletes, analyze and interpret their data for:

  • Performance Profiling & Injury-Risk Screening
  • Fatigue / Readiness Monitoring
  • Training & Rehab Progression

ForceDecks provides instantaneous feedback on neuromuscular performance and asymmetries for dynamic in isometric tests. ForceDecks’ unique auto test detection and ‘one-click’ analysis allows data to be collected and processed in under a minute. ForceDecks software facilitates immediate feedback on large numbers of athletes.

Importing Data

ForceDecks data can be integrated into your site through a data file import.

Step 1: Export Your ForceDecks Data

First, you will need to export your ForceDecks data from their system. When performing the export function, you must select "Results from all trials within a test, one row/column per trial" in the Trials to Export drop-down list.

Your exported xlsx file will look like this:

Do not modify anything in this file. The order of columns and rows is important in order to successfully import the data!

Step 2: Import your ForceDecks File

Go to Admin | Data Management | Data Import and select the ForceDecks file type from the drop-down menu.

Click Choose File to browse to your exported ForceDecks file and then click Import.

Viewing Metrics

Once you have successfully imported your ForceDecks data, over 30 metrics will be available under Forcedecks as the source:

  • Body Weight kg
  • Concentric Mean Force Left N
  • Concentric Mean Force Left N (Avg)
  • Concentric Mean Force Left N (Max)
  • Concentric Mean Force Left N (Min)
  • Concentric Mean Force Right N
  • Concentric Mean Force Right N (Avg)
  • Concentric Mean Force Right N (Max)
  • Concentric Mean Force Right N (Min)
  • Concentric Time to Peak Force ms
  • Concentric Time to Peak Force ms (Avg)
  • Concentric Time to Peak Force ms (Max)
  • Concentric Time to Peak Force ms (Min)
  • Flight Time ms
  • Flight Time ms (Avg)
  • Flight Time ms (Max)
  • Flight Time ms (Min)
  • Force at Peak Power N
  • Force at Peak Power N (Avg)
  • Force at Peak Power N (Max)
  • Force at Peak Power N (Min)
  • Force at Zero Velocity N
  • Force at Zero Velocity N (Avg)
  • Force at Zero Velocity N (Max)
  • Force at Zero Velocity N (Min)
  • Jump Height Flight Time cm
  • Jump Height Flight Time cm (Avg)
  • Jump Height Flight Time cm (Max)
  • Jump Height Flight Time cm (Min)
  • Jump Height ImpMom cm
  • Peak Landing Force Asymmetry LR
  • Peak Landing Force Asymmetry LR (Avg)
  • Peak Landing Force Asymmetry LR (Max)
  • Peak Landing Force Asymmetry LR (Min)

NOTE: All of the Avg, Max and Min metrics are calculated by Kinduct from the imported data. These metrics are not included in the exported ForceDecks file.

Generating Reports

When creating a report, you can view your ForceDecks data using a CHART widget (bar, line etc.). The data can be viewed trial-by-trial or you can view the summary data from a session. ForceDecks metrics are SEGMENTED. Once you select your time frame, Athletes/Groups, and Metrics, data will not display in the preview until you select segments for the metric.

TIPS:

  • ForceDecks metrics WITHOUT Min, Max, or Avg will give you more granular data (i.e. if your test comprised of 5 countermovement jumps, you can view each trial of a session or longitudinally)
  • ForceDecks metrics WITH Min, Max, or Avg will give you summary data from a session (i.e. it will pull the daily Min, Max or Avg for a given metric and test).

To view trial-by-trial data:

Select the metric under ForceDecks source:

Click the Segments tab to show trial options for the selected metric and then choose the ForceDecks trials you want to view.
